Stop The Bleeding!

 



It is common sense whenever an organism is bleeding, the first thing you do is stop the rupture.  No one starts cleaning up the mess caused by the bleeding; they first address the source of the blood and plug it up.  Our government should take this same approach when it comes to dealing with the rupture at our borders that caused us to bleed into our land millions of people who are here illegally, without proper permission.

Without securing our borders to stop the bleeding, any amnesty bill would make our country a magnet to those who would come here illegally.  The United States would be flooded with those who want to hop on the amnesty bandwagon.  In 1986, Ronald Reagan signed a bill to grant amnesty to 3 million illegal aliens with the promise of a more secure border and penalties for those who hire illegal aliens.  The only promise kept since that time was the amnesty.  The other two provisions were never enforced.  The result is now we have 11 million illegal aliens and the President and some in the Senate want to do the same thing all over again.  The result will be even more millions crossing our border and the American worker and taxpayer will pay the bill for their keep.  We cannot and should not consider any form of amnesty without first securing our borders.  To do otherwise would suggest insanity.  A loose definition of insanity is “doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” 

Stop the insanity!  Stop the bleeding!  Let us first provide for securing our borders and then let us clean up the mess of illegals already here.  We should not be talking about amnesty until that is complete.
